There are ten thousand words trapped in my head. I can hear them screaming.
It has been so long that they’ve been quiet. Comparative peace, but now they refuse to be calmed.
Some of them are so beautiful. But there are so many more that are awful. They demand to be let out. To be painted and carved into my skin, to be remembered.
Stone remembers. I can barely even remember what that fucking means at this point.
Is this going to pass when I wake up? Am I going to be trapped in another forever?
It has taken me years to build up a new baseline. I don’t want to lose that progress. I don’t want to slide back into the pit.
